Camping Trip in Andalucia

With the hot summers and excellent campsite facilities it´s hard to chose where to go. Well I´ve been doing just that. Our first requisite is to go to places unknown or hardly explored.

Even though we´ve lived in inland Andalusia for fifteen there is so much that we´ve not had time to see. So I thought I´d share with you the rough itinerary sketch so far.

Although it can be really hot in inland Andalusia, we avoid the coast in the summer months as not only is it humid but too busy for us and rarely a Spanish voice heard.

So the beginning of our next trip, taking two or three nights in each campsite is looking like this.

Starting with the campsite in Desapeñaperros, the north of Jaén to explore the northern part of Cazorla Natural Park and the Sierra Morena Natural Park.

Moving east the north of Granada province to the campsite El Cortijillo, near Castril.

Horse Riding in Las Alpujarras

Next to the newish site of Camping Puerta de la Alpujarra near Órgiva, one of the more famous towns of Las Alpujarras and near the above horse riding Caballo Blanco.

There´s nothing in the world quite like getting back to nature. Lying on the grass, watching the stars and listening to the sounds of nature.
