Another visit to the Granada coast of Costa Tropical and the lovely quiet bay of La Herradura saw me checking out its two campsites.
The original one looks in need of a spruce-up and the nuevo - new site, that doesn´t look new anymore. Both are across the road from the shingle beach and fantastically clear waters, which makes it a great base for snorkelling and diving.
La Herradura is between the Granada town of Salobreña and the Malaga town of Nerja, a rocky, scenic part of Spain´s southern coast on the Mediterranean Sea.
With a minumum overnight pitch price of 22 Euros, long stays can benefit of up to 60% reductions, there are caravans for hire and the site is open all year round.
See the Spanish website for more information Camping Nuevo La Herradura.
