Like many Spanish cities Cordoba has a campsite within its boundaries but not exactly in the heart of the city. Camping El Brilliante is an old well-established site to the north of the city and a fair walk from the historical quarter but buses run past the gate.
It´s located not far from Cordoba´s railway station and could make a good alternative to hostels. The site isn´t particularly well marked, when you see a black camping sign on the corner of a white wall, that is the site, there is no sign post to tell you when to turn in and unfortunately, unlike every other campsite I´ve been too, they don´t have the flags flying although the flag posts are there.
This flat site has loads of mature Eucalyptus trees providing plenty of shade and the pitches are of varying sizes, some really small and others huge of motorhomes. Though obviously old this site has a nice feel, not always spacious but the huge canopy of trees and lovely pools surrounded by grass provide a relaxed feel.
