Even though the weather has been awful - cold and wet which is really not normal for Andalucia, my thoughts are turning towards camping trips again and there are so many places I still want to check out not only down here in the south but the rest of Spain as well.
Las Alpujarras with its wealth of campsites in gorgeous white hillside towns is one of our plans, probably heading up and over the Sierra Nevadas climbing 2,000 metres, not a road for the faint of stomach - I have to drive or turn green.
The next plan and our first foray with the tent into the province of Cadiz has me pouring over maps, googling places of interest and generally getting excited even though the skies are still very grey. A bit of culture, some fabulous food and Atlantic beaches here we come - when blue skies return and summer is upon us.
It looks like it´ll be three of us this time around as our older sons are no longer here to mind the younger, so Tarifa to check out the windsurfing could very well be on the agenda.
Some sort of itinerary will develop and be shared shortly, meanwhile if you´ve any camp-site recommendations, suggestions or you´d like us to check a campsite out before you do, leave us a comment, it won´t go live.
